Focus and Scope
Environmental Management and Sustainable Development (EMSD) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal, published by Macrothink Institute. It publishes original articles in all areas of environment and development. Concerned with the complex interactions between development and environment, its purpose is to seek ways to achieve sustainability in all human activities.
Authors are encouraged to submit complete unpublished and original works, which are not under review in any other journals. Contributions are drawn from biology, botany, climatology, ecology, ecological economics, environmental engineering, fisheries, environmental law, forest sciences, geology, information science, public affairs, zoology and more.The journal is published in online version which is free access and download.

Peer Review Process
The journal uses double-blind system for peer-review; both reviewers and authors' identities remain anonymous. The paper will be peer-reviewed by three experts; two reviewers from outside and one editor from the journal typically involve in reviewing a submission.
Publication Frequency
Semiannual, published in May and November
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
