If someone finds themself being inactive for a long period, the solution is to get busy at something. Organize the bedroom? Organize finances, taxes? Clean the car out? Work on that project? Nearly everyone has something they ought to be doing instead of watching TV and getting busy at those things will help to keep their attention out.
