The journal welcomes research in the following areas, including but not limited to:
- Climate and Environmental Systems: Climate change; Ecology and sustainable development; Waste and water management.
- Energy, Technology and the Built Environment: Renewable and sustainable energy; Environmental technologies; Green construction and sustainable development; Sustainable land development.
- Urban and Regional Planning: Urban planning and development.
- Environmental Economics and Policy: Environmental economics and policy.
- Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems: Sustainable agricultural systems.
- Society, Culture and Social Impact: Social sciences and humanities in the context of sustainability; Social impact assessment.

Peer Review Process
We use a double-blind system for peer review; both reviewers’ and authors’ identities remain anonymous. The paper will be reviewed by at least two experts: one editorial staff member and at least one external reviewer. The review process may take two to three weeks.

Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
Special Issue Proposals
To foster academic collaboration and advance scholarly research, we welcome special issue proposals from scholars, researchers, and academic or research institutions.
