Journal of Food Studies


Journal of Food Studies (ISSN 2166-1073) is an international, double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published online annually in December by Macrothink Institute, USA. It aims to publish high-quality original research, applied studies, and review articles in the broad field of food science and technology.

  • Food processing, preservation, and engineering technologies

Paper Selection and Publication Process

a). Upon receipt of a manuscript, the editor sends a confirmation email to the corresponding author within 1–3 working days. If this confirmation is not received, the submission may have been missed. Please contact the editor promptly in such cases.

b). Peer review: A double-blind review system is used, where both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous. Each manuscript is reviewed by three experts—typically two external reviewers and one editorial board member.

c). The review results are communicated to the corresponding author via email.

d). If the manuscript is accepted, the authors revise it according to reviewers’ comments and pay an article processing charge (APC) of 100 USD.

e). The published article is made available in PDF format on the journal’s website and is freely downloadable.

Open Access Policy

The journal follows the Gold Open Access model, providing immediate and unrestricted access to all articles on the publisher’s website upon publication.

Copyright Policy:

Copyrights for articles are retained by the authors, with first publication rights granted to the journal. Authors have rights to reuse, republish, archive, and distribute their own articles after publication. The journal/publisher is not responsible for subsequent uses of the work.
