Journal of Food Studies

Journal of Food Studies (ISSN 2166-1073) is a peer review international journal, published by Macrothink Institute. The journal is published annually (December) in online version. It publishes original research, applied, and educational articles in the fields of food science and technology, engineering and nutrition, including food policy matters, food quality, food nutrition, food safety, etc. It also publishes articles concerning about obesity research, food processing and control technologies, food chemistry and other related areas about food.

Authors are encouraged to submit your papers online through OJS or send your submissions to us via this email jfs@macrothink.org directly according to the template (title page and paper template) and submission guide. 

 

Paper Selection and Publication Process


a). Upon receipt of paper submission, the Editor sends an E-mail of confirmation to the corresponding author within 1-3 working days. If you fail to receive this confirmation, your submission/e-mail may be missed. Please contact the Editor in time for that.

b). Peer review. We use double-blind system for peer-review; both reviewers and authors’ identities remain anonymous. The paper will be peer-reviewed by three experts; two reviewers from outside and one editor from the journal typically involve in reviewing a submission. The review process may take 4-10 weeks.

c). Notification of the result of review by E-mail.

d). The authors revise paper and pay article processing charge (100USD).

e). E-journal in PDF is available on the journal’s webpage, free of charge for download.

Open-access Policy

We follow the Gold Open Access way in journal publishing. This means that authors publish in the journals that provide immediate open access for readers to all articles on the publisher’s website. The readers pay nothing, while authors (or their institutions or funders) pay a publishing fee to maintain the journal operation.

All articles published are open-access articles distributed under the terms and conditions of the Creative Commons Attribution license.

NOTE:

The publisher and journal have a policy of “Zero Tolerance on the Plagiarism”. We check the plagiarism issue through two methods: reviewer check and plagiarism prevention tool (ithenticate.com).

All submissions will be checked by iThenticate before being sent to reviewers.

Each paper published in Journal of Food Studies is assigned a DOI® number, which appears beneath the author's affiliation in the published paper.
