Focus and Scope

The journal welcomes innovative contributions across the following thematic areas:

Historical Methodologies: Studies focusing on historiography, oral history, and the interpretation of historical narratives.
Cultural Preservation and Development: Research on the safeguarding of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, museum studies, and the challenges of modernization on traditional cultures.
Material Culture: The study of physical objects, artifacts, and architecture in understanding past and present societies.

2. Social Culture and Institutions

Social Structures and Conventions: Analysis of social stratification, class dynamics, gender roles, and evolving social norms across different historical periods.
Institutions and Ideology: The historical evolution of social institutions, political ideologies, and their impact on cultural identity.
Customs and Lifestyle: Interdisciplinary studies on cuisine, fashion, leisure, and daily life as historical and cultural indicators.

3. Arts, Literature, and Aesthetics

Literature and History: The intersection of literary texts and historical contexts, including comparative literature and literary criticism.

Peer Review Process

The journal uses double-anonymized system for peer-review; both reviewers and authors' identities remain anonymous. The paper will be peer-reviewed by three experts; two reviewers from outside and one editor from the journal typically involve in reviewing a submission.

 

Publication Frequency

Semiannual, published in June and December

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
