Dr. Winston Massam is an Assistant Professor in Assessment Measurement and Evaluation in Education and Science Education. His areas of specialization include classroom assessment and evaluation; Scale development and validation; Item Response Theory and Analysis; Quantitative methods and Secondary science teaching and learning. Massam received his Doctorate from the University of British Columbia, Canada. Before joining Aga Khan University, he served in both Secondary and Post-Secondary Education Institutions at the capacity of Science Teacher, Tutor, Instructor, and Assistant Lecturer in Science Education, Educational Measurement and Evaluation, Educational Statistics, and Research Methodology in Education for 15 years. Dr. Massam received his B.Sc. with Education and M. Ed. Science at the University of Dar es Salaam in 2002 and 2006 respectively.
