Julian the Emperor. A Consolation to Himself upon the Departure of the Excellent Sallust: Rhetorical Approach

Abstract


This study examines the rhetorical practice of ''The consolation to himself upon the departure of the excellent Sallust''  written by Flavius Claudius Julian  the emperor. Its purpose is to describe the way that Julian uses his language as to have favorable effects on public through certain communicative and rhetorical functions.
