Dr. Ali Derakhshan is an Assistant Professor at Department of English Language and Literature, Golestan University, Gorgan, Iran. He gained his PhD in Applied Linguistics from Allameh Tabatabai'i University, Tehran, Iran and his MA in TEFL from University of Tehran. He is the author of some national and international books and papers. His areas of interest are Sociolinguistics, Interlanguage Pragmatics Development and Assessment, Discourse Analysis, and Teacher Education.
